Wakana Yoshihara: Hair & Make Up

Wakana Yoshihara is a hairstylist and make up artist educated and trained in Japan. She has been working in the UK since 2006. Her skills are evenly spread across hair and make up. She started as hair dresser in 1996. Her skill includes wig making, prosthetics and body painting. She is confident to work on all hair and skin types. Her talent led to her appointment as Head of Hair & Make Up for the feature film 'Franklyn'.

Wakana has designed the looks for London based fashion labels such as Aganovich, Elley Kishimoto and Tim Ryan. She also works with various production companies on commercials, for clients such as Guinness, Honda, Nokia, NHS and Government Office for London.

Creative music promos have allowed Wakana to experiment and demonstrate her potential to create highly distinctive looks and appearances. Record labels include Auditorium, Domino Records, EMI, Sony, Rough Trade, Ministry of Sound, Universal, Virgin Classic.

As well as working with actors like Anthony Hopkins, Laura Linney, Ryan Phillippe, Hiroyuki Sanada and Alexandra Maria Lara on past feature films, Wakana has developed further collaborations. Actress Eva Green asked Wakana to come to the prestigious Mont Blanc events where she ensured her perfect appearance. Occasionally Wakana travels to Paris and hair styles Charlotte Gainsbourg, who she worked with on the last Merchant Ivory Film.

Wakana aims to achieve highest quality and perfection. She is always interested to collaborate with those who share the same work ethos.
